Gender equality, disability and social inclusion analysis is the foundation for ensuring all DFAT investments are effective in reaching socially disadvantaged groups – by preventing unintended harm, exclusion, and further marginalisation, and by promoting their rights, equitable opportunities and benefits.
This Good Practice Note supports DFAT investment managers and development partners to meet the investment-level requirement for high quality, evidence-based GEDSI analysis.
DFAT investments valued at $3 million and over must include a gender equality outcome (either end of program outcome or intermediate outcome). The good practice note provides guidance on developing quality gender equality outcomes to meet the mandatory requirement, which is a Tier 3 Indicator in the Performance and Delivery Framework.
